NANCY, Ky. --Kentucky Guard Family Programs partnered with state Fish and Wildlife Department and University of Kentucky Agriculture  4H program officials for their 10th annual 4H Kentucky Guard youth camp at Lake Cumberland in Nancy, Ky., July 20-25.

Nearly 200 boys and girls gathered on the shores of the lake for a week full of outdoor fun.  During the five-day event, the children had the chance to enjoy swimming, canoeing, fishing, hiking and archery, to name a few.

The collaboration of the sponsors is to create an action-packed, entertaining and engaging opportunity for the children of Kentucky's military families.

“It’s awesome to give these kids a good experience and a time of their life that they will never forget,” said Spc. Felicia Harris, Family Program assistant.
