A team of Kentucky National Guard signal leaders, who were handpicked based on their expertise, pose for a photo Aug. 15 outside Bataillon d’Intervention Rapide, a quick reaction military unit in Djibouti. The Kentucky team assisted Djiboutian service members with programming and validating tactical radio communications, assisted in setting up and configuring new computer monitors and talked through big picture power generation and network management with a senior Djiboutian signal leader.
