ACH By Spc. Scott Raper, 133rd Mobile Public Affairs Detachment Pvt. Taylor Powell       Pvt. Taylor Powell, an Automated Logistics Specialist with the 149th Brigade Support Battalion, joined the Kentucky National Guard while still in High School.  The first benefit of his decision was receiving his G.E.D. Other benefits include his job training, a monthly paycheck and the ability and requirement to stay in shape.  Powell says he now understands the changes that occur when one answers the call to step up and serve their country. “Now that I have something going for me, this uniform, this flag on my shoulder, a lot of people want to shake my hand,” Powell said. “It feels nice, feels good and makes me feel like I’m doing something for myself and for everybody else by keeping this country safe.”
