LEXINGTON, Ky.--The Kentucky National Guard was a premiere sponsor of Extreme Rampage at the Lexington Horse Park on March 2, 2013. Extreme Rampage created a 3-5 mile race on the horse park grounds amid water obstacles, earthen berms and man-made rope, plank and climbing obstacles throughout the course. Participants in groups of 200 or less started their run every half hour beginning at 8:00 am and ending at 7:30pm.
"It was a great turn out, despite the weather," said Lt. Col. Kirk Hilbrecht, public affairs chief of the Kentucky National Guard. "The Kentucky Guard had a good team turn out as
well, besides being a sponsor and facilitator of an intense part of the course."
The Kentucky National Guard will sponsor two more runs later this summer. Clay City will host one on June 15 and Louisville June 27.
