2016 will go down as another successful year for the Kentucky National Guard. We have continued to answer the call of our nation and our commonwealth in times of need. As your hometown defense force, we responded to winter storms and wildfires while augmenting local law enforcement at various events throughout the year. As Soldiers and Airmen, we deployed hundreds of Kentucky Guardsmen in support of U.S. military operations around the globe. And in keeping with a unique mission of the National Guard, Kentucky Citizen-Soldiers further developed domestic and international partnerships to the benefit of the commonwealth, the nation and foreign allies.
