Interview opportunity with Kentucky National Guard official deployed to Haiti

MEDIA ADVISORY Jan. 25, 2010 CONTACT: David Altom, 502-607-1562, cell 502-229-3227 FRANKFORT, Ky. -- We are arranging interview opportunities with Lt. Col. Kirk Hilbrecht, Kentucky National Guard State Public Affairs Officer, who is currently deployed to the Dominican Republic in support of Operation Unified Response, the humanitarian relief mission to Haiti. ** Interest parties should either reply to this email or call the above number to arrange an interview time. ** The Kentucky Air National Guard currently has about 50 members deployed in support of Operation Unified Response, to include the 123rd Contingency Response Group and members of the 123rd Special Tactics Squadron. Since last Friday these Airmen have processed in excess of 200 tons of supplies, to include an emergency shipment of plasma. Special Tactics Airmen have assisted in emergency supply air drops with US Air Force C-17s. The 123rd CRG is also teaming up with other nations to form a joint command post to help expedite additional aid.
