Kentucky Guardsman promoted to captain

Benjamin Singleton, 63rd Theater Aviation Brigade [caption id="attachment_4827" align="alignleft" width="300" caption="Benjamin Silver's wife, Cindy, pins on his captain’s bars during a ceremony at Boone National Guard Center in Frankfort, Ky."] FRANKFORT, Ky., (Jan. 6, 2011) – Kentucky Guardsman Benjamin Silver was promoted to the rank of captain in a ceremony held on Boone National Guard Center, Frankfort, Ky., Jan 4. 63rd Theater Aviation Brigade Commander Aaron T. Barrier presided over the ceremony and Silver’s wife, Cindy, daughter, Shannon, mother, Kay, and father, Richard, attended. Silver received his commission in 2006 after completing the Officer Candidate School program and deployed to Afghanistan in 2008. He currently serves as the automation officer for the 63rd Theater Aviation Brigade.
