Lance O’Bryan, newly appointed civilian aide to the Secretary of the Army (CASA), on April 30 at Boone National Guard Center in Frankfort. National Guard answers the call as near-historic flooding isolates Nelson County community
May 9, 2025 — Heavy rainfall between April 2–6, 2025, caused near-historic flooding in Kentucky, with Boston, Ky., in Nelson County among the hardest-hit areas. Soldiers from the Kentucky National Guard’s Charlie Battery, 2nd Battalion, 138th Field Artillery Brigade, joined local firefighters and Georgia Task Force 6 to rescue 32 people and dozens of pets. The Guard later delivered critical supplies to the isolated town. Kentucky Military Police march to honor Allied prisoners of war
February 4, 2025 — Seventeen Soldiers from the 223rd Military Police Company, 198th Military Police Battalion, 149th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, marched with their rucksacks from the Stalag Luft III prisoner of war camp in Zagan, Poland to Spremberg, Germany. The three-day, 55-mile journey followed the exact route of Allied troops who were captured as prisoners during World War II and evacuated from German POW camps on January 27, 1945... MORE

Kentucky Soldiers with the 223rd Military Police Company honored the thousands of troops taken prisoner during World War II by participating in the 80th anniversary Long March through parts of Poland and Germany, Jan. 24-26. Soldiers traveled roughly 55 miles over three days, following the exact route taken by WWII POWs during their evacuation 80 years ago.
